{"id":256,"date":"2010-08-28T11:05:10","date_gmt":"2010-08-28T09:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mabuhaycooking.wordpress.com\/?p=256"},"modified":"2010-08-28T11:05:10","modified_gmt":"2010-08-28T09:05:10","slug":"tempura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mabuhaycooking.com\/index.php\/2010\/08\/28\/tempura\/","title":{"rendered":"Tempura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>    * 8 prawns(shrimp)<br \/>\n    * 4 slices sweet potato<br \/>\n    * 2 eggplant<br \/>\n    * 1 egg<br \/>\n    * 4 beefsteak plant (shiso)<br \/>\n    * 4 shiitake mushrooms<br \/>\n    * 1 cup tempura flour<br \/>\n    * 1 cup ice-cold water<br \/>\n    * grated Japanese radish<br \/>\n    * ginger<br \/>\n    * oil for deep-frying<br \/>\n    * 1 cup soup stock***<br \/>\n    * 1\/4 cup each of soy sauce and mirin.<\/p>\n<p>Directions<br \/>\n(1)Peel prawns remove veins, and cut off tail tips.<br \/>\nMake slashes in 4 places on prawns undersides to prevent curling.<br \/>\n(2)Peel sweet potato and cut into 5mm round slices.<br \/>\n(3)Cut eggplant in half and make four or five cuts lengthwise with the tip of a knife.<br \/>\n(4)Cut tiny slash on top of beefsteak plant leaves.<br \/>\n(5)Mix egg and ice-cold water to make one cup.
